I can, never remember a nursery rhyme but I remember the feeling just fine I can never get to my work on time But my area manager’s a mate of mine So a Mexican wave when I’m home with a chillian red wine Keeps me from the door and a double V sign When a boat is listing a boat stil rocks A Bloke is listening, a bloke is shocked Anything I say in disagreement with her I know She’ll start to scream at me Anything I say in disagreement with her I know She’ll start to scream at me My mam and dad brought me up to be questioning things Not just taking general opinion to be fact I can never remember that nusery rhyme Tra la la la la la So how can I be expected to tow the whole livery line When you don’t even cut the back grass And when a boat is listing a boat stil rocks A Girl is listening, a Girl is shocked Anything I say in disagreement with him I know She’ll start to scream at me Anything I say in disagreement with him I know She’ll start to scream at me It comes and goes And I won’t let go Cos I love her, I love Every time we go to bed and sleep at night A single cell, a single cell Every time we go to bed and sleep at night It works so well, it work so well Anything I say in disagreement with her I know She’ll start to scream at me Anything I say in disagreement with him Anything I say in disagreement with her I know She’ll start to scream at me Anything I say in disagreement with him Anything I say in disagreement with her I know She’ll start to scream at me Anything I say in disagreement with him Anything I say in disagreement with her I know Anything I say in disagreement with him She’ll start to scream at me

Hi there, how can I help you return the day's sin? when you meet her and you meet him and your heart warms will you treat them and tripple your spend? I've been working here five years now staring at you from my little glass house I'd love to come and say hello but if I fraternise they'd let me go Sun pears through bags on the white floor Foot-fall crosses drawing shadows up the wall all the folk I see you'll never know Prince Charles was here the day before We're all hoping, we're all waiting We're all veiled in failed precision We're all hoping we're all waiting We're all watching people in the station Hope, Heart, decision People in the Station Hi there, what can I get you - nice cup of green tea? All disgruntled, at the ticket gate, it's not his fault they'll fix it at the other end Lads I'm with you what you're waiting for god knows don't want to hear it anymore I'll vault the gate at my home time back to my harbour lapping on the shore Heads angle to a place and time home is down a glowing orange lettered line will the pixel ever let me go? Back to where my heart comes from no We're all hoping, we're all waiting we're all veiled in failed precision We're all hoping we're all waiting We're all watching people in the station Hope, Heart, decision People in the Station

Descending I feel the pull down our view is inside a metal shell a covering of hair that shapes crowns defending the air they'd sooner sell You're clutching my hand I'm holding you A steadily faster beating heart Whiter on white your pure skin A whistling cloud that showers dew Fear of flying Fear of flying Fear of flying Fear of flying I lay down thoughts of us apart and search for places to go Our stuttering dance could cheat the dark and halt the beat of worry, pulsing. Fear of flying Fear of flying Fear of flying Fear of flying

Canvas waits, A Horse hair, velvet chairs they oscillate. Focus, silence whips my hair spotlight brings you to the thoroughfare Play me from the opening scene I give you my heart on a violin Lift me out of my housing scheme I’ll do anything just dance me in - Darcey turn me make me right Principal so young Profile weighs a ton tonight, water reflects the sun Please don’t do any TV, I want to wonder on - Checkmate, Sylvia, Manon, Black, White Swan I’m a school girl, in my tap shoes At the stage door, there to meet you Learning swan lake, in my make up At my dance school thinking of you Of a night time, on a weekend I was browsing, I was in rage. From an artist, making something of a life time, building mystique body motion, body twisting to a B-class in a listing Lift me out of my housing scheme Play me from the opening scene Thread me through a harp a violin I’ll do anything just dance me in - Darcey turn me make me right, Principal so young Profile weighs a ton tonight, water reflects the sun But please don’t do any TV (shite)I want to wonder on. Checkmate, Sylvia, Manon, Black white Swan .

Bend me, shape me out of wood Take me, hope me sail out to sea. Hold me, lay me in the mud Find me after a thousand years Like a Viking ship my love for your will out live its’ maker Like a Viking ship my love for you will turn up in an encyclopedia Cold heart breaker Late at night I climb into your bed - l I still need you I need you arms out stretched, weave thoughts into a thread Threads that bare can form into a veil Asleep at night, my thoughts of you set sail Like a Viking ship my love for your will out live its’ maker Like a Viking ship my love for you will turn up in an encyclopaedia Cold heart breaker BRIDGE Like a Viking ship my love for your will out live its’ maker Like a Viking ship my love for you will turn up in an encyclopaedia It says here, a Viking ship - was built for general speed a maneuverability Says here next to the description of a Viking ship – written in coloured pencil that you love me, ‘course then you dumped me Bend me shape me out of wood.

Happy to wipe that little wet bum He’d call me a Dad and he’d call you a Mum Proud to receive such a gift of life As the sun sets on my social life. Welcome mat, doorstep, porch and yard Block of bricks in between gonna come hard Developing friction in the bank of strife As the suns sets on my social life. As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life I said Baby Baby Baby! Just not yet. If you’re old enough to smoke You’re old enough to put a twinkle in your eye S-E-V-E-N, T-E-E-N, T-I-L I die As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life As the suns sets on my social life I said Baby Baby Baby! Just not yet. S-E-V-E-N, T-E-E-N, T-I-L I die I said Baby Baby Baby Just not yet.

Cry For The Days There's a lift to you flat takes me back through the flaws in my lies Like a fist through past juts the high rise that armed my decline There's a bird in my head overlooks a long line of missed steps - I cry for the days I cry, I cry In the long halls we played I cry, cry There's a tyre by the crag we rolled up from the blocks to the tree line As the shocks rumble down The Red Road is a cloud of neglect There's/while a bird in my head eyes the dust rolling in from the west - I cry for the days I cry, I cry from the crowd coloured grey I cry, I cry

“Ambitious, Eccentric, bounding sound” - BBC Music

“Featherwest’s soothing vocal leads to all kinds of harmonious tomfoolery when the drums kick in and gives way to a flurry of action and the odd interruption of vocal percussion.” - Fresh Waves

“With their pristine production and more importantly uplifting tracks, Glasgow’s Featherwest are yet another collective to stand out amongst a saturation of electronic pop, lad indie rock and uninventive emo. People In The Station’ has identified Featherwest as a charismatic and luminous group!
Live these pop mavericks are as intriguing as they come.” - Podcart

“Loving anything weird, alternative to mainstream, we make our very own slightly odd and off centre sounds combined with lyrics that romanticise on less comfortable areas of the human condition. All in all we kinda wish we lived in Twin Peaks.” Featherwest

Featherwest’s debut album 'Home At Sea' is a collection of songs built around the soundscapes of vintage synths, samples, harmonic male - female vocals that straddle from electronic smoothly into band music (live drums, guitars) all with a distinct, true live air rapping round it.
With this album project the duo had a specific place and person they wished to work with in their sights and went for it. Paul Savage (Chem 19 Studios) the producer of three epic Mogwai albums, Arab Strap, Emma Pollock, Deacon Blue, King Creosote, Franz Ferdinand played important and creative role in a process of recording and producing the album.

With the romantic sounding name Featherwest is in fact a fictitious game played in a sketch from popular 90s mental comedy show Reeves and Mortimer. This mirrors the layered and eccentric approach through their songwriting and performance.
Hailing from Glasgow yet with a mix of backgrounds Featherwest source influence from working in music, art and theatre to form an inviting sound that has usually one element of off-centre-ness to catch the type of audience member that wishes to wonder and look further into influences such a Tadeusz Kantor, Harold Pinter, David Lynch, Bladerunner, The Life Aquatic, Little Dragon, Cocteau Twins and Vampire Weekend's 3rd Album.

'Home at Sea' on the lyrical level is a deeply poetic documentation of the duo’s experience of living in Scotland. A collection of their very personal experiences from becoming parents (A baby Not Yet), long term relationship ups and downs (Anything I Say ,Viking Ship), through commentary or observations of the steady devaluation of art and its' loss of integrity (Darcey), to recording political events such as the Scottish Referendum (Honey Bee) or simply a nostalgic take on the demolition of Glasgow famous Red Road flats (Cry for the Days).

Notably the songs People In The Station, A Baby not Yet and Honey Bee have been the subject of much praise and airplay from BBC through to KEXP.
